Apply for Scholarship by May 15th, 2026, for the NIAFS Annual Golf Outing Scholarship Program Application can be completed online.

To be considered for a scholarship:

  • College or University Students submit 2 of the following:
    • Unofficial transcripts
    • Class Schedule for upcoming term
    • Letter(s) of recommendation from a counselor or professor (recommended)
    • Official Enrollment Verification from the Registrar.
    • Student account statement / tuition bill showing the term and a status of “registered/enrolled”
  • Trade School/Technical School submit 2 of the following:
    • Official enrollment verification letter from the registrar/admissions office (preferred)
    • Acceptance letter (if award is for an upcoming start date) plus registration confirmation once available
    • Current class schedule showing term dates and the student’s name
    • Paid tuition/fees receipt or student account statement showing “enrolled/registered” status
    • Unofficial transcript showing active/current-term enrollment
    • School portal screenshot/printout showing enrollment status and term dates
  • Apprenticeship programs submit 2 of the following:
    • Registered Apprenticeship Agreement - (DOL/State apprenticeship “apprentice agreement” showing the apprentice and sponsor)
    • Official letter on sponsor/union/employer letterhead confirming active apprenticeship status, start date, occupation, and program term.
    • Enrollment/registration confirmation from the apprenticeship training provider (JATC, community college partner, or sponsor)
    • Pay stub or HR letter indicating “apprentice” classification plus program verification letter.
    • Progress record or training log issued by the sponsor/JATC that indicates current standing and dates
  • All submitted documents must include the student’s full name, institution name, term dates, and enrollment status (full-time/part-time). Documents must be uploaded with the completed online scholarship application.

The Board of Directors of the Northern Indiana Chapter, A.F.S., or a committee designated by the board for that purpose will select the winner/winners from the applicants received, and their decision is final. Winner/winners will be selected during a board meeting and then Announced and Presented during the Scholarship Presentation Event.
